Getting There

We've got the house now. We've actually had it for a month or so now and I'm still not all in yet. I am so behind in the work that I need to do. Summer got away from me and now it's just about over. Thankfully I'm working on the house this week and then I'm off to Mom's for a week long vacation. I really only have two rooms left to finish up then everything will be done!!

Unfortuatly the two rooms are some of the hardest - the Sewing room and the gift room.

My goal is to have them done this week. I really doubt that will happen though. But I'm seriously going to try. And that means getting off the internets and back to reality to clean and organize! The gift room is a seriously scary thought because I have to face my shopping addiction! That is really not a happy thought.

We're in!!!

We finally are in the house!!! It is ours, we have all our stuff in the house and we're working to get it organized and useful. I need to get my sewing room up and running so I can get to all the sewing I have to do now. I need to make curtains for almost every room. I have a bunch of naked windows. I'm looking forward to crafting in my new room. I have to get the room together so I can get the light put up. I go a huge 8 foot light with some major daylight bulbs. I can't wait to get all setteled in!!!!!!!!

Here's my newest attempt for Finished for Friday!!! This is the winter to the series that I'm working on. But I really need to learn to take better pictures!!!

My major accomplishment for this week is the MOUND of boxes I have managed to pack. (not taking pictures of that though :P )

Still waiting.... and not so paitiently may I add

We're still in the process of house buying. We may get into the house next week. I really hope so, since we have no home as of May 31st. We'll be moving in with my in-laws and storing our stuff. Our fate at the moment rests in the hands of PNC mortgage. At this point I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It could just be our broker but not working so promptly. I live in boxville right now :) Our goal is to have 95% of our stuff packed by Monday.

We're heading to my in-laws for a birthday celebration for my brother-in-law on Monday, (we may be celebrating my b-day too, but I'm out of the loop) so Ky and I want everything done then. Just the necessary for day to day life stuff left out. I'm hoping in a few weeks I'll forget the stress and worry that is buying a house and just be reveling in the funness that is owning your first home! I can't wait to get decorating and painting. I have so much picked out and I just can't wait to go buy paint and furniture and get moving!!!!!

Lit and Laundry's Finished for Friday

For once I have had a really productive week!!! I am in the middle of quilting a quilt, so I'll post that when it's done. I worked on two more of the button backgrounds and I got a few things done!!!

As part of my I'm stressed crafting (and the fact that I just got in a large Stampin' Up order) I made a bunch of cards, they have no real purpose... so they'll be on hand when I need one!

I also made a mini scrapbook 6x6 for no reason, with no purpose... It photographs better unbound so I'll bind it later this morning!

The major thing I got done this week was an etsy store for Mom and I! Introducing A Mother and Her Daughter!

Finished for Friday

I've been following Lit and Laundry's Finished for Friday for a bit and it always looks so fun. I just never get anything finished... but voila! I did! So here's my piece:

This is a free pattern from Just Another Button Co. They have each season as a button background so I am planning on doing each one as the season comes. Hopefully next week I'll have a quilt to show... I'm really working on it!

Time moves on and on and on

House buying is the slowest process ever. We seriously could have produced children by now with the time we've taken to find a house and now the MONTHS it takes to finally get into it. SOOOO frustrating. I'm not working and that should mean I get a TON of stuff done... but I don't. I am hoping to get better, but every time I get in the groove - I get sick again. So here I am with a little chest cold. Grrrr.

But I am in the process of TWO quilt tops for our bedroom. I'm going to have 2 totally different looks - 1 hydrangea and 1 roses. Same basic colors but different flowers! I'm hoping to have a part time summer job and a quilt top done by Friday. We'll see how it goes!

House hunting

We've been looking for a house for a bit now... (like a year or so) and we're on our way!!! Meeting with the realtor today to sign the contract.... Sooo if all goes well I'm going to be a homeowner soon!!!!!!

So I've done really well at keeping current...

Wow... I haven't posted in forever. Lots going on and lots to do as always.

Today is my last day 0f work @ MOPL, hopefully I'll be teaching soon. This weekend I get to go to a scrapbooking retreat!!!! I am 2 or so years behind so I can't WAIT to get this finished.

Hopefully I'll keep up better with this soon!!
